The Fledging Birders Institute is proud to announce two (2) new
monthly Grand Prizes for the
Fledging Birders Challenge.

- The Crossley ID Guide: Eastern Birds (autographed!)
- a window mounted bird feeder
- and other special surprises!
The Fledging Birders Institute aims to bring the enjoyment and
benefits of birding to as many people as possible in North America.

As we share this appreciation of birds with others, we are also
actively promoting a public bird conservation ethic by educating them
about bird conservation issues and the impact
our own personal choices have on the lives of  birds.

Please join us in these worthwhile efforts!
In addition to the monthly Grand Prize winners, the Fledging Birders Institute will also
hold a random drawing for groups that
do things to help local/regional birds throughout
the month. There is a checklist of some bird conservation behaviors on the submission
form. Of course, there are many
other ways to help birds. Please share some specific
details about your bird conservation efforts on narrative section of the submission form!
The Fledging Birders Challenge aims to get the young birders outside searching for
and identifying birds in their own community - school grounds, backyard, neighborhood,
or local park. Each group records the species and submits a monthly list. The group with
the highest final total shall be the Grad Prize winner for that month.

The
Fledging Birders Challenge also encourages adult birders to take youth under
their wing, bring them out on repeated local bird outings, and patiently nurture their
interest in birding. They will be
FLEDGING new BIRDERS. The most prolific birding
mentors each month will be entered in the Grand Prize drawing. Please use the narrative
box on the submission form to give details of your efforts to share birding with kids
